40 Years in Iowa
Midwest Curb Grinding started in 1986 when Iowa builders needed a curb grinding partner who actually answered the phone. Forty years later, that founding principle still drives everything we do: pick up the phone, schedule the grind, show up, get it right, move on.
We operate two divisions to cover the full state. Our East Division in Marion serves builders and contractors across Eastern Iowa. Our Central Division in Indianola handles the Des Moines metro and Central Iowa markets. Between them, no Iowa jobsite is more than 2 hours from a crew.
Over four decades, we have ground more than 100,000 curbs and 3 million linear feet for Iowa's production homebuilders, custom builders, general contractors, developers, and municipalities. We operate a fleet of milling machines and Peterbilt semis serving over 4,000 customers.
Where We Are Now
Today, MCG operates a full fleet capable of handling subdivision-scale buildouts while maintaining per-lot scheduling flexibility. We serve Iowa's top production builders, including Lennar, DR Horton, Hubbell Homes, Greenland Homes, and View Homes.
Iowa remains home. This is where we started, where our crews live, and where the majority of our work happens every season.
